While Galaxy S2 had the body dimensions of 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm, and weighed 116 grams, Galaxy S3 Shows an increase in both of these.
Galaxy S3 has the dimensions 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm, and has a weight of 133 grams.
Both of these Smartphones support Touch-sensitive controls.
Display
Both these smarthpones have a Super AMOLED Capacitive TouchScreen, with 16M colors. Also, both of them support Multitouch.
However, while Galaxy S2 has a 4.3 inches long screen with the Screen Resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, at approx 217 ppi pixel density.
However Galaxy S3 has a 4.8 inches long screen with the Screen Resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, at approx 306 ppi pixel density
Moreover, while the screen of Galaxy S2 comes with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass, Galaxy S3 is priviliged to have the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 2 [ Well Gorilla Glass is an unscratchable, unshatterable material used as a protective window for your mobile ]

There is not much difference in these smartphones in terms of sound and music.
Both of these smartphones have a Stereo FM radio with RDS.
The music player of both of these Gadgets Supports various Formats like MP3,WAV,eAAC+,AC3,FLAC,MP4,DivX,XviD,WMV,H.264 and H.263
The only difference if that Galaxy S3 Supports Polyphonic ringtones while Galaxy S2 does not.
Memory
While Samsung Galaxy S2 came in 2 versions -one with 16 GB internal memory and the other with 32 GB internal memory, Galaxy S3 Comes in 3 versions - 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB.
Moreover, while Galaxy S2 supports Expandable Memory of upto 32 GB, Galaxy S3 supports MicroSD memory card till 64 GB.
The RAM in both of these smartphones is the same, 1 GB
Camera
Both Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy S2 have a Primary Camera of 8 MP, with the resolution 3264×2448 pixels, with autofocus, and LED flash.
Both These Smartphones Supports video recording at 1080p at 30fps.
While Galaxy S2 has a secondary camera of 2 MP, Galaxy S3 has a secondary camera of 1.9 MP, but as if to compensate this, Galaxy S3 support video recording via the secondary camera at 720p@30fps
Moreover The Camera Of Galaxy S3 has more features than that of Galaxy S2.

Moreover, the WLAN features of these smartphones are Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot
While Galaxy S2 supports bluetooth v3.0+HS, Galaxy S3 has bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, and EDR
Hardware And Software
Samsung Galaxy S2 runs on Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 whereas Samsung Galaxy S3 runs on Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9.
Samsung Galaxy SII comes with Android OS, v2.3.4 (Gingerbread) which is upgradable to v4.x Whereas Galaxy SIII is coming with latest - Android OS, v4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
Battery Life
Galaxy S2 comes with Standard battery, Li-Ion 1650 mAh whereas Galaxy S3 is coming with Standard battery, Li-Ion 2100 mAh.

Not really in my opinion. I upgraded my S2 to S3 few days ago and I’m about to return it. It’s way too big to use as a phone. Touch sensitive back and menu keys are too close to the edge and… too sensitive, so I keep pressing back with my palm while typing with one hand. It’s impossible to reach entire screen with a thumb without stretching your hand too much and it makes it uncomfortable.
I too Feel the same S3 is not as good as S2…

The S3 is way better. Just cause some people can’t reach the whole screen with only there thumb, they think that makes the S2 better. There are so many things that the S3 can do tgat the 2 can not! For example if you like music you can download whole albums using Utorrent. Onky a laptop, iphone5 or the S3 can do this. Theres much more also. In my opinion, those of you who think the S2 is better, are the people who are stuck with the S2 and simply are just mad cause they don’t have the S3! There is too much to type about hiw much better the S3 is. I have both of them. Trust me…the S2 is nice but it doesn’t even come close to the S3. Stop being jealous people and just go get the S3….in other words STOP HATING
